Adaptions that can help them?
One of the major factors that put koalas at risk is their diet. They only eat eucalyptus leafs and life in eucalyptus plants, and due to deforestation, they lose their habitat and food at the same time. An adaption that could vastly improve koalas chance of survival is if they expanded their diet. If they could eat other leafs and food, this could allow them to live in other trees, and so they could live in a wider variety of places. Another thing that can help them is if they can adapt to live on land and become faster to avoid land predators.
Human interventions
Humans are the main reason for the endangerment of koalas. Humans have taken away their environment and have hunted them. Therefore, if we stop chopping down their trees and plant more tree koalas will be able to thrive and live safely once more.
Plan of action!
Koalas can be saved with your help. Raising awareness! By raising awareness more people become aware about the state of koalas and will become willing to help. Also, Australia can create reserves for koalas to live in and live in their natural habitat without any risk of deforestation or other threats. There can also be a program where you can adopt a koala to get funding for the reserve and also to help keep ones in the wild safe.
