Welcome To Save the Koalas!
Koalas, or Phasclarctos Cinereus, are marsupial mammals that are native to Australia. Marsupial means they keep their young in pouches - koalas keep their young in their pouches until they're 5 months old. They grow up to 15 to 30 pounds, and grow around 2 feet tall. They have an average live span of around 17 years. They were put on the endangered species list in 2012 due to habitat loss and deforestation. They are related to the kangaroo and the wombat.
